Motul DOT 3 & 4 is a fully synthetic brake and clutch hydraulic fluid intended for use in modern braking systems. It’s especially suitable where OEM systems require DOT 3 or DOT 4 specification fluids. The formula features excellent thermal stability, helping reduce brake fade and maintaining safe hydraulic pressure especially under aggressive or heavy use. Because of its high dry boiling point (245 °C) and solid wet boiling point (160 °C), it offers good performance even after absorbing moisture over time. The fluid is safe for seals and components in the braking system, with anti-corrosion additives to protect metal parts and internal surfaces. When servicing, one should bleed the system carefully, avoid introducing moisture into the fluid (keep container sealed), and adhere to recommended fluid replacement intervals (often annually in many systems, but check the vehicle manufacturer).
